Kayla Oster, LICSW
Kayla Oster, LICSW, offers person-centered and trauma-informed therapy for teens and adults throughout Massachusetts. She is dedicated to helping clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, foster self-acceptance, reduce their fear, and enhance their daily well-being. Specializing in anxiety, depression, and PTSD, Kayla employs a variety of therapeutic techniques to address these issues effectively. Her practice includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, parts work, and Motivational Interviewing.
Kayla is passionate about empowering and supporting clients experiencing interpersonal challenges, gender identity and sexuality issues, marginalization, life transitions, and grief. She is also experienced in helping clients address issues such as low self-esteem, difficulty with communication, and stress management. Clients tend to describe her presence as calm, grounded, and logical.
Kayla earned her Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. She has a background in researching and advocating for reproductive justice as well as a certificate in queer, trans, and sexuality studies, all of which gives her a holistic and contextualized understanding of the individuals she is lucky enough to work with.
