Massachusetts BIPOC & Black Therapists

BIPOC & Black Therapists Working

A team of bipoc +
black therapists at the intersection of mental health and minority experiences.

You Don’t Always Need A Therapist Like You, But It Can Help

Therapy Clients Come To Us For:

While Black individuals make up nearly 15% of the U.S. population, only 5% of therapists are Black. This mismatch has consequences. It’s harder to find someone who “gets it,” harder to trust, and harder to stay in therapy when you feel unseen.

At New Life Therapy we recognize these barriers

“The Best Time To Start Therapy is As Soon As You’re Thinking About It”

We’re not just here to treat symptoms. We’re here to support your whole self.

We’re a group practice led by Dr. Glover, an 11+ year seasoned clinician dedicated to making mental health care more accessible for BIPOC communities in Massachusetts and beyond.

Through secure, telehealth-based sessions, we bring therapy to you.

Our BIPOC & black therapists aren’t just checking boxes on cultural awareness; they're deeply informed, intentional, and committed to meeting you where you are

Therapy Techniques
We Use at New Life

  • A form of therapy that helps people control their anxiety by recognizing and changing negative thoughts and behaviors. It teaches them to think differently to lessen anxiety in various situations, using methods like exposure therapy and cognitive restructuring. It is an effective treatment for many anxiety disorders.

  • Helps people with anxiety by reframing their stories and challenging negative self-narratives, using externalizing, reframing and deconstruction.

  • IFS aims to help clients mindfully separate from their trauma-related thoughts, sensations, and emotions, in order to bolster the ability to be a compassionate witnesses to their traumatic experience without reliving or becoming overwhelmed by it.

  • is an effective couples counseling technique. EFT can help identify destructive patterns in a relationship that begin to interfere with attachments, ultimately preventing two people from bonding. By focusing on those patterns and behaviors that create a disconnect in the relationship, two people can begin healing and bonding in a more positive manner.
