Around 70% of adults globally, and similarly in the U.S., will experience a potentially traumatic event at some point in their life.
Research shows that those with a single traumatic event may have significant relief in
as few as 5 EMDR sessions.
EMDR Therapy With Us — Step by Step
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a science-backed therapy that helps your brain and body process trauma—so your nervous system can finally stop reacting like the threat is still happening.
EMDR is a structured, 8-phase therapy and with us, the pace is always personalized, grounded, and focused on comfort. You’re never rushed, and you’re never alone in the process.
In short: EMDR helps you heal at the root, not just manage symptoms.
-
We start with your story - what’s stuck, what still feels painful, what you want to shift. From there, we create a plan.
-
Before any trauma work begins, we build your internal resources. You’ll learn calming tools so you always feel supported.
-
We identify the memories and beliefs we’ll target e.g., what your system is still reacting to.
-
Using bilateral stimulation (like tapping or eye movements), your brain begins to reprocess the trauma without reliving it.
-
We strengthen the empowering beliefs that come up like “I am safe now” or “I am enough.”
-
We check in to ensure your body feels the shift. Trauma lives in the body, and we want full-system healing.
-
Every session ends with grounding. You’ll leave feeling stable and present, not raw or unmoored.
-
We begin the next session by checking what’s changed, what’s stuck, and where we go next.
Each phase builds on the last, and we move through them based on your readiness, not a schedule. My priority is that this work feels empowering, not overwhelming.
